The Abu Dhabi based airline, Etihad, was established by Royal Decree in July of 2003. It is a government-owned airline mandated to operate safely, commercially and profitably.
The airline travels to over 110 destinations, spanning across 6 continents, carrying both passengers and cargo. During the last 10 years, its fleet has grown from 52 to 103 aircraft, with a range of Airbus and Boeing aircrafts travelling their customers to international and domestic locations.
Throughout the years, Etihad Airways have purchased stakes in many competing airlines; as a result, their net worth is high despite suffering some losses. In bids to become the most family-friendly airlines, Etihad offers many amenities to children flying, including entertainment, services, packs and meals.
This airline is known as a luxurious airline. Despite this luxury, it does face some flights problems spanning from delays, cancellations and overbooking. Passengers enduring these issues may be entitled to flight compensation in accordance to EU law.
